Outreach
Worship and Flags Ministry Our vision is to be a multi-cultural, musically diverse group of singers and musicians who are in love with Jesus Christ. Participation in the ministry requires one to be a member of the church. We seek to use a variety of instruments in worship. Also vital to the success of the worship ministry are those who serve in managing the sound and the set-up. We also want to glorify God through other creative means besides music. To this end we train people to use flags to express worship in a tasteful manner each Sunday. We also organize special choreographed routines and design banners for special display.Contact: Tina Webb (gloryofheaven at gmail dot com) |

| Mercy Ministry The church believes that care of the poor and needy is an essential part of the Christian life. GCC organizes ways to not only give to the needy, but to practically serves in a personal way, both within the church, but also through other ministries such as Abundant Life, and Love INC, and the Pregnancy Center.Contact: Lindsay Quinn (lindsaycarolynquinn at hotmail dot com) |

Grace Abroad Missions GCC organizes teams almost each year to go and serve the Body of Christ in other U.S. cities and other nations. We are also starting up a Missions Committee that will mobilize our church body to support missions both here and overseas. We recently sent out Emily Beliles to serve in Kenya and Tanzania.Contact: Mark Beliles (mbeliles at gracecov dot com) |

Drama and Film Ministry The GCC Drama and Film group uses the dramatic arts and visual media to bring to life Christian concepts to touch the hearts and lives of people in and outside the church walls. Just as Christ brought the message of God to life though parables to his generation, we use the creative gifts God has given us to bring to life gospel truths. If you have ever been involved in film or drama ministry or have ever wanted to be, come join us. We would love to have you.Contact: Bernard Hankins (bernard.hankins at gmail dot com) |

Jeffersonian Thanksgiving Festival Every November since 1994, we have organized an outreach using drama, music dancing and local history. It steps back in history to a day in Revolutionary-war-time Charlottesville to illuminate our nation’s Godly roots, as famous statesmen, soldi ers, craftsmen, clergymen, and citizens gather for a Day of Public Thanksgiving that was proclaimed by Virginia’s Governor Thomas Jefferson during the War for Independence. This event, based in downtown Charlottesville, draws thousands of people each year, and is cosponsored by the City of Charlottesville and many of the downtown businesses and organizations. Volunteers are always welcome to join in the festivities.www.jeffersonthanksgiving.org |
